A Small Confession

Image
While it is true that I have ridden over 600 miles since the end of December and taken nice snapshots, it is not true that I have been to most of these places.  As a matter of fact, I don't even leave my house to ride. You may be thinking an exercise bike is fine but how do you not get bored?  I will explain a little of that in a bit but want to talk a little about my earlier bicycling habit in my younger years  In my early twenties and prior, I used to ride all the time.  I enjoyed exploring different areas in my neighborhood.  As I got older, I got into longer distances and seriously thought about exploring different parts of the United States.  I even thought about racing. I have set a goal to ride at least four days a week and have a weekly goal of 80 miles. I am not going to make it.  I thought it would be exciting.  Even on a fairly flat road, I am finding bicycle riding very boring  I need to change my attitude I think to myself if I want to meet my goals.  I am not riding a bicycle to be in any race.  I am riding it to get some exercise and to lose some pounds-about 30 to be exact
